HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — Kaylee Petersen is in the top 10 after the first round of the Great American Conference Championship as the freshman shot a 77 Sunday at the Hot Springs Country Club.

Southern Nazarene is in seventh place after shooting a 327 and is nine strokes back of Arkansas-Monticello and Oklahoma Baptist who are tied for fifth. Petersen had two birdies with a three on hole eight and another three on 18 on the par -72, 5,932-yard course. Heidi Stafford is tied for 27th after shooting an 80.
