ALVA, Okla. – It was a good day for softball in Alva, where Northwestern Oklahoma State hosted Henderson State in doubleheader action, as the two teams battled their way to a split on day one Sunday.

There were lots of hits in the first game of the afternoon where the Rangers recorded nine hits, while the visiting Reddies had eight of their own.
