Members of the Alva Hospital Authority had to wait a few minutes to accumulate a quorum Tuesday night. President Jason Gaisford was absent, as was Vice-President Darlene Sanderson. So board member Ken Brown stepped up to run the meeting.

CEO Kandice Allen told the board that critical care surveyors were present the very day of the board meeting and would be around the next day also. She said the staff was relaxed when the surveyors showed up because they were confident they had all previous suggestions implemented.
