Boone homers twice as Oklahoma State eliminates USF

DeLAND, Fla. (AP) — Trevor Boone hit two home runs, Jonathan Heasley pitched a complete game, and Oklahoma State eliminated South Florida 6-1 on Sunday to advance to the NCAA Tournament's DeLand Regional final.
The Cowboys led 2-1 in the sixth when Boone hit a two-run shot to center. The sophomore outfielder had another two-run homer in the eighth.
Heasley (4-6) pitched the first complete game of his collegiate career. The sophomore right-hander allowed only one unearned run on seven hits with two walks and seven strikeouts.
