Kiowa City Council hires new police chief

 


The City of Kiowa, Kansas, has a new police chief who will report for duty Aug. 8.

The Kiowa City Council held a special meeting Monday, July 2, that was executive session. Upon returning to open session they voted to offer the police chief position to one of the candidates they interviewed.

The new chief is Robin Daniels, according to Kiowa City Administrator Lou Leone. He said Chief Daniels is originally from Alabama and has over 20 years experience in law enforcement. Leone said Daniels has experience in narcotics investigations, homicide, DARE, developing budgets, testifying on the wit...
