When I got up this morning, it felt like it was an ordinary day, I was ready to get up, go to school and finish out the year. After I got up, I began to get ready for the school day, only to find out that I looked completely different. I still proceeded to get ready for the day, but my phone interrupted me. I answered it, and I was stunned by what I heard. Sir, we need you at the state capitol immediately. I arrived at the capitol only to find that the place was crawling with protesters, as it...
As June rolled around, I began to wonder if my dream would become reality, as I had won a contest and could go anywhere in the world. I chose to go to Alaska, as I felt that I would enjoy the scenery. I would get to Alaska by being flown out to Anchorage via Alaska Airlines, and I would stay at a hotel. During my trip, I would visit several places, such as the Chugach State Park, Kenai Fjords National Park and the Anchorage Museum. The people who sponsored the contest sent me an email a week...
On Jan. 7, the Freedom basketball team and a couple of other fellow students made a bus trip to Stillwater to watch the Oklahoma State Cowgirls play the Oklahoma Sooners at the historic Gallagher IBA Arena. At about 10 a.m. the bus left Freedom to make the lengthy trip. On our way we stopped in Alva and picked up my pal and fellow co-writer, Cade Kennedy. From there we continued down the road on our journey, playing card games, listening to music, and conversing to make the trip seem as short...
