I was glad to read the article in the Alva Review-Courier: "Masonic Pancake Benefit for AHS" (Nov 15 issue). It is great that the Masons (of which I am a fifth-generation member) are holding a benefit breakfast in which proceeds will help fund Alva students to take a trip to Washington, D.C., to tangibly learn about our nation's history up close and personal.
