She lived in Alva from 1948-1960 before coming to Oklahoma City. She was an insurance clerk for Integris Baptist Medical Center for over 20 years.     A Waynoka man has been charged with arson involving a vehicle owned by Bud Shelton. According to court records, on Feb. 1 about 7 p.m. Waynoka Patrolman Adam Barlow received a call from dispatch that one of the Waynoka volunteer firemen, Austin Durkee, had reported a fire on his property near the north end of Cedar Street.     A Waynoka man borrowed a pickup to pull a trailer and did not return it, according to the owner. Apparently the trailer was “borrowed” from Woods County also. According to court documents, on Sunday, Jan. 13, at 12:50 p.m. Collin Pierce called the Woods County Sheriff’s Office to report a stolen pickup.     A warrant has been issued for an Alva woman charged with embezzlement. Vicky Kay Hewatt, 72, of Alva, was charged Feb. 6 with embezzlement, a felony. She is accused of fraudulently appropriating the sum of $28,144.92 that belonged to Lynn and Marione Martin between 2008 and 2018. This crime is punishable by imprisonment in the State Penitentiary for up to eight years and a fine not to exceed $10,000 and restitution.
