    A lengthy list of items was seized from a residence in Cherokee after a search warrant was executed on Wednesday, Feb. 14. Law enforcement officers listed 63 separate items as evidence. According to court documents, officers from the Alfalfa County Sheriff’s Office, Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics Drug Task Force participated.     The Alfalfa County commissioners accepted bids to install new RV hookups at the fairgrounds at their Tuesday meeting. The winning bid was submitted by Moyer Electric of Woodward in the amount of $17,500. They also had an option of removing and replacing six wall packs located on the barn with new LED wall packs for $3,250. Other bidders were Northwest Electric of Alva who bid $23,400.     Kiowa’s City Council took lots of action at their regular February meeting. As reported in the Newsgram last week, council did not accept the letter of resignation from Police Chief Steve Johnson. Instead they voted 4-1 to terminate Johnson’s employment with Brian Hill casting the no vote. The council also voted to do away with term limits for those serving on the council.
