The Woods County commissioners signed resolution agreements with the city governments of Alva and Waynoka allowing county sheriff’s deputies to work part time for those cities. The K-2 bridge replacement project in Barber County, Kansas, was delayed several times. Now officials say the project is scheduled to start “around” Sept. 3. The bridge goes over Little Mule Creek, which is located about two miles east of US-281 and west of Kiowa. The road will be closed during the construction period. Four people were killed in the crash of a small airplane early Tuesday afternoon, authorities in Oklahoma City said. The four died when the plane crashed about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Sundance Airport, a small airport on the outskirts of the city, according to Oklahoma City Fire Capt. John Chenoweth.
