The Oklahoma Department of Corrections (DOC) board held their monthly meeting in Alva Tuesday afternoon, March 28. One of the agenda items was to name Becky Guffy as warden of Bill Johnson Correctional Center (BJCC). After the board voted unanimously to approve Guffy's appointment, she was congratulated by the board members. Above, Todd Holder of Alva extends his hand in greeting. The DOC meeting also had an agenda item recognizing Janice Melton's retirement from BJCC after serving as the only warden since it was constructed over 20 years ago.
