On June 10 the Alva Guns and Hoses Blood Drive Challenge was held at Hatfield Park. This battle is held twice a year between the fire and police departments and the winner holds the trophy and bragging rights until the next winner is announced. Twenty-two donations will impact the lives of 66 patients in Oklahoma. The winning trophy went to the Alva Fire Department.
