REMEMBERING THE 1970s – It was a beautiful morning Sunday for Kiowa's Labor Day weekend car show in Progress Park. Favorite rock-n-roll tunes played as people leisurely walked through the park seeing the fruits of labor it takes to transform favorite vehicles from yesterday into gems for today. Kiowa man Spencer Smith sits beside his 1978 280Z sports car made by Nissan/Datsun. Smith said his son Justice ordered an engine from Japan when redoing the car. This 280Z is turbo-charged and has an intercooler.
