The Alva Chamber of Commerce honored Love's County Store and manager Dustin Rogers at their monthly Chamber Breakfast held Friday at Schuhmacher's Copper Penny. Some of the items announced at the breakfast include the Alva High School Homecoming (that day), the free supper on the downtown square, extra large enrollment for the Little Miss Car Show Pageant Saturday at 1 p.m., along with the Goldbug Hall of Fame induction at noon Saturday, the main car show Saturday and Sunday, and in October, a special Cherokee Strip Museum "Tour of the Town" museum night on Oct. 15 and the Christian Church ham and bean supper on Oct. 10.
