Kansas Supreme Court justice faces ethics complaint

WICHITA, Kansas (KAKE, Aug. 28, 2016) – An ethics complaint has been filed in Topeka against a top Kansas justice. But some wonder if the timing is suspicious.
The Washington-based non-profit "Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust" filed the complaint against Supreme Court Justice Carol Beier August 22. The complaintsubmitted to the Kansas Commission of Judicial Qualifications is based on a fundraiser held at Beier's home in 2014 for Paul Davis, the Democrat who challenged Sam Brownback for Governor.
Some Republicans in the Kansas Legislature admit the timing of the complaint may look...
