3 small earthquakes recorded Thursday in northern Oklahoma

FAIRVIEW, Okla. (AP, Sept. 1, 2016) – Three small earthquakes have been recorded in northern Oklahoma, including two near Fairview.

The U.S. Geological Survey reports a magnitude 3.0 earthquake at 1:25 a.m. Thursday and a magnitude 2.5 quake at 6:58 a.m. Thursday, both about 15 miles northwest of Fairview, or about 90 miles northwest of Oklahoma City. The third quake was a magnitude 3.2 temblor recorded at 6:46 a.m. nine miles northwest of Pawnee – about 70 miles northeast of Oklahoma City.

No injuries or damage are reported.
