An interesting loosening of inventory controls of Woods County property is the result of an auditor's recommendation to drop from inventory lists anything of less than $500 value.

A multi-page list of several hundred items was presented by County Clerk Shelley Reed at the commissioners meeting

last Monday. She has the list available for viewing in her office on the main floor of the courthouse.

This reporter took a look at the list, and the items removed included things like office chairs, office furniture, staplers, computer accessories, file cabinets, hand tools and similar items.
