Ugliest Vegetable contest at the Woods County Fair

Do you have an “ugly” squash, zucchini, tomato or a pumpkin in your garden? If so, don’t toss it away – enter it into the Woods County Free Fair, Sept. 8-10 at the Woods County Fairgrounds south of Alva. The “ugliest” vegetable will receive a ribbon and prize money and will be on display throughout the fair.
Junior as well as open class divisions are available both for the young and the older, more experienced fair exhibitors. Entries must be in place by 5:30 p.m. on entry day, Thursday, Sept. 8.
