Ladybugs get revenge over Blackwell at home

After falling to the Lady Maroons during the Tonkawa Tournament the previous week, Alva answered back in a big way as they hosted Blackwell at Hatfield Park on Tuesday.

Alva's defense quickly went three-up and three-down to open up the first inning and get their first chance at-bat. After a flyout to shortstop from Payton Jones, back-to-back Alva hitters were walked to put a runner in scoring position at second. Hallie Durkee hit a sacrifice hit to plate a runner at home, and Alva finished the first inning with a two-run lead over the Maroons.

The Ladybugs plated two more runners in the bot...
