AHS Band sounds off with early morning practice

The Alva Band of Gold has early morning rehearsal at 7:30 a.m. every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. They use the time to prepare for contests, football games and parades.
"Early morning rehearsals are important to our overall success as a band. Between parades, field show and pep band music there isn't enough time during regular class to get it all done," said Cara Bradt, Alva High School band director.
To prepare for football games, the band must practice pep band music and the halftime show. A few of the pep band songs this year are "Just Do It," "Bang Bang" and "Hey Song." The halftime show...
