Ladybugs pull ahead of Leedey for the win

LEEDEY – The Alva High School Ladybugs continue their long trek on the road, going head-to-head against Leedey on Tuesday evening.

Both defenses held strong in the first two innings as Alva started on the field before their first chance at bat in the bottom half of the first.

Leedey got their first two runs on the board in the bottom of the third with two outs and one on second as they hit a fly ball over center field fence to get a two-run homer and a 0-2 lead.

Trailing two runs, Alva came back in the top of the fourth as Hallie Durkee led with a single line drive out to center to get on base...
