OSBI investigates death of 3-month-old Oklahoma foster child

GERONIMO, Okla. (AP, posted Sept. 21, 2016) — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says a 3-month-old girl died after being left in a vehicle for at least nine hours.

The OSBI said Wednesday that Mame Neta Attocknie was in the custody of foster parents when she died Tuesday in Geronimo.

Investigators say the foster father didn't drop off the child at daycare Tuesday morning after he took his son to school. The foster mother went to the daycare Tuesday afternoon and discovered the infant wasn't there.
