The Alva Board of Education called a special meeting for 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, to first view the new indoor practice facility and then to meet in executive session with an attorney to finalize the gift of the building from the Pete and Ruth Leslie Family.

The board members first toured the weight room, and then several vacant offices in a new dressing room area which the district will have the responsibility of finishing.

All were impressed with the virtually complete indoor practice area which will be used not only for football, but also soccer and band practice.
