Water rates to change for schools, university, prison
But Alva utilities will still show a loss for the year

Water rates for large government-owned entities are going up in Alva. Monday night the Alva Utility Authority voted to change water rates for this class of customers, which includes schools, Northwestern Oklahoma State University and Bill Johnson Correctional Center. The rates won’t take effect until an official resolution is prepared with another vote at a future meeting.
