Woods County wheat and canola producers should check their crop often for fall armyworms

“Woods County wheat producers have planted a lot of acres in the last 10 days,” said Greg Highfill, Woods County Extension educator ag/4-H. He added, “The majority of these acres were planted early to be utilized this winter for wheat pasture grazing.”

With the available soil moisture, wheat pasture production is off to a great start. Unfortunately, the fall armyworm is attempting to destroy this forage growth.
