Alva High School has always had the standard curriculum, but this year AHS added a new class, Teacher Cadet, taught by Halah Simon.

This class was open for any students in the junior and senior classes wanting to become a teacher of any grade and subject. The students goals range from coaching a sport to becoming kindergarten teachers.

In this new class, students will decorate classrooms, participate in mock parent-teacher conferences, study different types of teaching, and more. There are eight participants: Mattie Duncan, Whitney Randall, Aleysa Franz, Daresa Moser, Emmy Walborn, Kyle Barnes...
