Household Executives learn about computer technology

The Household Executives OHCE group met Sept. 21 in the home of Leta Guinn. The meeting was called to order by President Carolyn Gasaway who also led the group in the flag salute. The nine members and guest answered roll with “Are you computer or smart phone savvy?” Jan Hamilin was introduced as a guest. Devotion was given by Leta Guinn and the group recited the Lord’s Prayer.

Minutes of the August meeting were read by Secretary Nikki Chaffee and the following correction was noted: Guinn had provided two pies for the fair, Saundra Schubert had entered the ice cream contest and won third place, and the workers at the fair kitchen were the NWOSU Art Club. Treasurer’s report was presented by Eleanor Ring.

Membership forms for the coming year were passed out. Members were asked to provide suggestions for topics for the next year and were reminded to provide feedback on the fair and the evaluation process to the extension office. Household Executives OHCE group placed fourth on their fair booth.

Oct. 10 will be the Fall Council and Household Executives will be responsible for some of the hostess duties. Household Executives OHCE group decorated the corner of 330 Flynn for the fall festivities.

Evelyn Kramp gave the Bylaws Committee report as well as the nominating committee report. New officers for the coming year will be: president – Carolyn Gasaway, vice president – Lola Heaton, secretary – Nicki Chaffee, and treasurer – Eleanor Ring.

The lesson was provided by Rose Blunk on computer technology.

The next meeting will be Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. with Carol Anderson as the hostess.
