Airport land lease swapped

Approximately 10 years ago, the Woods County Industrial Authority (WCIDA) leased a plot of land at the Alva Regional Airport for future industrial development growth. One portion of that land was used to erect the building that is used by Plane Plastics as an installation facility. The remaining was designated for future economic development projects.

In the interim, city management changed. That change eventually resulted in some of that already-leased land being used for another purpose.

Building new hangars required the extension of the taxiway. When land for the runway extension was survey...
