The Alva High School cafeteria has made different changes allowing students to have more choices at lunch for the same price as a normal lunch.

Alva was eligible to have a chef come implement and develop a Cooking for Kids action plan. The chef, Bill Harris, will be coming throughout the year. Alva became eligible when Verleta Eckels and three other cooks went to a Cooking for Kids class. The class was funded by a grant.
