'Twas the night before homecoming'

On Thursday, Oct. 13, the annual AHS homecoming bonfire took place north of the baseball field at dusk, when students, teachers and community members all got together to support the football team, along with the AHS cheerleaders and the Alva Band of Gold.

“The bonfire has been a great tradition for as long as I can remember. It’s always been something the community and players really enjoy,” said Julie Owen, the student council officer in charge of setting up the bonfire.
