Alva falls to Perry in a tough homecoming match

On Friday, Oct. 14, the Alva Goldbugs football team played a very close game against the Perry Maroons for Alva's homecoming. With the score of 27-24 the Bugs barely came up short of beating the Maroons.

The Maroons came up with the first possession of the game and with that scored the first touchdown of the game. Right off the bat the Goldbugs went to work beginning their drive to the end-zone with a 11 yard pass to junior Davion Murrow from quarterback Mitchell Meyer.

Hayden Colwell added to the growing drive with an 18-yard run up the field. Another 12 yard run up the middle by Austin Shkla...
