Goldbugs dominate Huskies on the road

PAWHUSKA – The Alva High School Goldbugs traveled to Pawhuska and focused on setting the tone early in the game as they elected to receive the ball first after winning the coin toss.

Though it was a slow start for the Goldbugs’ offense to find a rhythm, their defense fended off the Huskies, preventing Pawhuska from capitalizing on their opportunities.

The Goldbugs made an impressive drive on their second possession after back-to-back runs from Austin Shklar for 19 yards and Davion Murrow for 12 to get to Pawhuska’s 12-yard line, but the Huskies held the Goldbugs off on a fourth-and-one.
