Alva man charged after controlled buy of LSD

An Alva man arrested by police is suspected of planning large scale sales of LSD and marijuana locally. The man was arrested after police worked with a confidential informant (CI) to set up a monitored drug buy this month.

According to court documents, Alva Police Officer John Caviness met with a CI who made arrangements to buy LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide) from Kendon Gaines. Caviness searched the CI and provided currency to make the purchase. The officer also monitored conversations between the CI and Gaines.
