Ambulance picks up marijuana along with patient

Alva ambulance personnel found more than a patient when they assisted a woman following an accident. According to court documents, Alva Police Officer Patrick Hawley was dispatched to Share Medical Center emergency room in Alva on Friday, Sept. 30, at 7:20 p.m. to pick up a bag of marijuana.

An Alva EMT told Hawley that the ambulance was dispatched to the intersection of Share Drive and Murray Drive for a disoriented lady who had fallen off her motor scooter. The woman was identified as Rebecca Lynn Kinney. As the EMTs were putting Kinney in the ambulance, they said a bag of marijuana fell out...
