An Alva police car was damage when an officer had an accident while parking at Love’s Convenience Store. The collision occurred on Monday, Oct. 17, about 6:10 p.m. Officer Timothy Clapp of Alva was driving the 2009 Dodge Charger. As he pulled south into the parking lot at Love’s, he failed to stop the vehicle in the parking space, striking a concrete-filled parking bollard on the west side of the store front.
