Harding Women's Cross-Country Places Second at GAC Championship

DURANT, Okla. – Harding women's cross-country placed its five scoring runners in the top 24 and finished second of 11 teams at the Great American Conference Championships on Saturday. Southeastern Oklahoma hosted the meet.

Harding totaled 59 points and placed second behind East Central, who won with 39 points. Southwestern Oklahoma was third with 95.

Madison Drennan, a junior from Signal Mountain, Tennessee, placed fifth overall (three points) and finished the 5K race in 18 minutes, 28.90 seconds. It was the first time in her 16-race career that Drennan crossed as Harding's top runner.
