All area military veterans are invited to a get-to-know-you gathering. Hot dogs and other snacks will be served. Come and renew old friendships and make some new ones.

Food and friendly conversation will begin at 6 p.m. (1800 hours for you gung ho types) on Thursday, Nov. 3. It will take place at the Alva Cherokee Museum in the Fireside Room. Enter in back on the northwest corner of the museum.

Guests are also invited to stay for the monthly business meeting of Alva American Legion Post 92, which will begin at 7 p.m. (1900 hours) at the same location.
