State Question 780 has to do with something I thought should have been done years ago. It is going to make drug possession a misdemeanor instead of a felony. This will help shrink the prison population by not sending a fella with three joints to prison for several years. Sadly, it has no provision to release all offenders already in prison. The first thing about this measure that bothers me is there is no mention of what drugs will be listed as felony or misdemeanors.
