Rangers' late surge comes too late against the Wonder Boys on the road

RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas – The Northwestern Oklahoma State Rangers football team (4-4) was back on the road Saturday afternoon as they faced off with the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys (4-4) in Thone Stadium.

It was a tough battle starting the first quarter, as both teams’ defense held strong keeping the scoreboard at zero for the entire period.

Although Arkansas Tech’s first scoring drive of the game started in the last seconds of the first quarter, they ended that drive four minutes into the second quarter off a 15-yard rush into the end zone from Kristian Thompson to lead the Rangers 0-7 with 11:4...
