The Burlington robotics team competed in game day at the Heartland Best Competition at the Alva Recreation Complex on Oct. 29.

This year's theme was "Bet the Farm." Each team's robot had to collect simulated lettuce, tomatoes and corn. Then then they had to plant seeds and run the water. Members of the robotics team spent a month working on the robot after school until 8 or 9 p.m.

The team made it to the finals and placed fourth in the game field competition and won Most Elegant Robot again this year.
