Alva woman charged following drug buy

An Alva woman is facing a felony drug charge following a drug buy set up with a confidential informant. Talon Lynae Cruse, 23, of Alva has been charged with distribution of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana) within 2,000 feet of a school and minor. This crime is punishable by imprisonment for four years to life or a fine of up to $40,000 or both.

According to court documents, on March 3 Alva Police Officer William Barnum was contacted by a confidential informant (CI) who had been communicating via text message with Cruse. The CI had set up an agreement to meet Cruse to purchase a gra...
