The veterans of the American Legion Post 92 of Alva stood tall and saluted their country's flag with expressions of respect and honor during the flag-raising ceremony at the Cherokee Strip Museum Friday morning in honor of Veterans Day.
The veterans had a busy day following the flag-raising ceremony, filled with trips to Alva's middle and high schools. The speakers at the events gave great speeches, and the students all provided wonderful ceremonies.
The ceremonies showed the veterans great honor and thanked them for their service.
