Work continues on Alva Public Library building

Contractors are repairing the masonry on the Alva Public Library including the removal and replacement of all grout, according to Alva Business Manager Joe Don Dunham. He gave the city council updates on projects during the regular council meeting Monday, Nov. 7.
Dunham said there have been some heating and cooling issues at the library. Contractors have looked at the system and recommend the replacement of one of the units. Dunham said the units “all have considerable age” and he expects that more will need replacing in the near future.
