Two Goldbugs receive All-State Honors

Aaron Erickson portrays his character, C.C. Showers, which earned him One-Act All-State honors.

This year Alva High School's One-Act performed a heart-wrenching play: "The Diviners."

"The Diviners" tells the story of a young boy, Buddy Layman, played by sophomore Jacob Ervin, who goes on a journey to conquer his fear of water. C.C. Showers, played by senior Aaron Erickson, is an ex-preacher looking for a job. He finds the Layman family and fits right in, becoming best friends with Buddy. He helps Buddy see that water is not bad after all.
