Area sixth graders explore possible career options

About 220 area sixth graders took part in Northwest Technology Center's Sixth Grade Career Fair on Friday, Nov. 18.

Approximately 220 area sixth graders arrived at Northwest Technology Center's (NWTC)Alva campus on Friday, Nov. 18, to participate in NWTC's Sixth Grade Career Fair. Area schools attending included Alva, Cherokee, Waynoka, Freedom, Medford, Burlington, Seiling and South Barber.

This event is designed to make students entering middle school begin to consider possible options for the future. The event offers a day of career exploration activities. Karen Koehn, NWTC's guidance counselor, has coordinated the event for over 20 years.
