Man gets life in killing of recent high school graduate

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A Tulsa man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole after being found guilty of fatally shooting a recent high school graduate at a traffic light.

The Tulsa World reports (http://bit.ly/2g5eiP5 ) that District Judge William LaFortune sentenced 19-year-old Hao Trung Le Friday in the 2015 death of Cristal Gutierrez-Garza.

Prosecutors say Gutierrez-Garza, a 2014 Jenks High School graduate, was fatally shot by Le as she waited in her car for a traffic light to change.

Authorities believe Le's intended target was her passenger, Gutierrez-Garza's boyfriend.
