Sunday, Dec. 4, was the second Sunday in Advent. The order of services was:

Thankfulness for the rain the past few days. Dixie Stansberry and Judy Devine will have open house at Dixie’s house next Saturday, Oct. 10. All ladies are invited to come at 10 a.m. and enjoy refreshments and visiting. Santa Day will be Dec. 17 in Freedom. On Christmas Eve Pastor Scott will be holding services at the Mooreland United Methodist at 8 a.m. The Freedom Christian Church will hold Christmas Eve services at midnight and will not have church services on Christmas Day. Christmas Day will be Pastor Scott and Joy’s last Sunday ministering at Freedom UMC. Remember our nation in our prayers as we transition to a new administration. Remember all those on our prayer list.

Wednesday morning devotions are at 10 a.m. at the Sweet Shop on Main Street. Next week’s sermon is “Getting Mad at Jesus!” Jesus promises blessings to those who do not take offense at Him. Everyone is invited to attend our Sunday services at 11 a.m. Sunday School starts at 10 a.m. Please come join us as we worship the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
