Six file for Freedom School Board

By Tuesday afternoon no one had filed for the three open seats on the Freedom Board of Education. By the 5 p.m. deadline on Wednesday, two candidates had filed for each of the open positions. Those filing are:
• Seat 2, full term: Concha Herrera and Donald Simmons
• Seat 4, unexpired term: Sandra Kamas and Robert Babcock
• Seat 5, unexpired term: Share Morris and Paul Raul Galindo
A three-way race developed in Waynoka, Mindy Zook, Jennifer Rich and Travis George filing for Seat 2.
Only the incumbent Jane McDermott filed for the Alva School Board, Seat 2 position.
