HOISINGTON, Kansas – Gary D. Cropp, 81, died December 9, 2016, at Clara Barton Hospital. He was born June 6, 1935, on the farm in Avard, Oklahoma, the son of Earl N. and Bonnie M. (Millsap) Cropp.

Gary graduated from Avard High School and received his bachelor of science in natural sciences from Northwestern Oklahoma State in Alva.

A longtime resident of Barton County, Gary was a farmer and a schoolteacher. He lived and farmed for many years near Susank, raising wheat and milking cows for 10 years. He retired from teaching in 1997, teaching at Hoisington for the past 20 years, but he had also...
