The Alva Middle School seventh- and eighth-grade Goldbugs finished the night with two wins over the Enid Plainsmen on Monday night.

Braden Hofen scored 14 points to bring AMS to a 40-28 victory over Enid on Monday.

Claiming a 21-8 lead at the half, the Goldbugs put up points early in the game. With 13 points in the third quarter, AMS cemented their lead even though they were outscored in the final quarter 6-8. That 16-point lead at the end of the third was too much for the Plainsmen to overcome as Alva picked up the win.
